What the BLEEP is Grief Cosmology^℠?

Grief Cosmology^℠ is not a program or a process. It is a consciousness guide: an invitation to sharpen your own instrument of perception rather than adopt someone else's map of the territory.

Its foundation is not philosophy alone. It is grounded in verified Physics, in consciousness studies, and in the ancient Psychagogic tradition of the companion who walks alongside, holding the lamp, without claiming to know the way. These lineages were not assembled. They were recognized as already converging on the same truth:

that grief is a sacred, intelligent, living process, and that you are already equipped to move through it.

Where that energy goes is a second question, and physics answers this one too. The heat released at a crossing spreads into the air and the ground, and Earth sheds its heat to space as infrared. Some of it leaves at once. The rest leaves over months and years. However it goes, it goes outward at the speed of light, in every direction, and it does not return.

Grief Cosmology^℠ calls the leading edge of that going the Luminous Horizon. Behind the edge is a filled and widening volume rather than a thin shell, and the edge moves outward by nearly six trillion miles every year. It does not stop.

Two honesties travel with this wherever it goes, and the framework carries both rather than hiding them. The energy spreads as it travels, so it thins: brightness falls with the square of the distance, and no instrument will ever pick it out again. And entropy takes the labels off everything, so nothing out there is stamped with a name. What entropy takes is the universe's bookkeeping. It has never once taken the energy.

The Hermi Lantern is the primary instrument of Grief Cosmology^℠. It does not claim to find anyone, and it will not hand you a star and tell you they are on it. It calculates how far the leading edge has traveled since a crossing, and it shows you what now falls inside that radius: which of our neighbors the going has already reached, and how much of this small corner it has come to include. It gives you somewhere to stand, a direction to look, and an honest number.

The energy is still traveling. That part is physics, and it will still be physics tomorrow. What the traveling means is the older and larger question, and Grief Cosmology^℠ answers it in its own name rather than borrowing the authority of the first law: they have not gone. They are expanding.
