A Gratitude Woven

Thankfulness swells as I feel myself

securely threaded back

into the vast tapestry of existence.

My strand of being, once frayed,

now stretches beyond the horizon of perception, weaving through the cosmic loom.

This intricate design of life

forever shapes itself

around me,

through me,

because of me.

I've been patched back together by the steady hands

of those who refused to let go of my heart and hand,

their kindness strengthening fibers.

Now I’ve become one

who reinforces the weakened edges

of souls unraveling in solitude.

As my own thread

thins with age,

my child's love becomes my anchor,

a dyed-fast brilliant cord

tied to my fading hue.

I, who once guided small fingers

through the labyrinth of living,

now feel that same hand leading me

ever towards the unknown.

In the hush of twilight,

when the weaver's work slows,

I trace the patterns we've created

Together.

Our lives interlace,

a complex weave of joy and despair,

gain and grief, light and shadow.

This grand design, ever-shifting,

holds us all in its infinite embrace.

Past, present, and future

blend in a timeless chronicle.

And when my thread reaches its end,

I'll dissolve into the greater whole,

my essence forever part of the fabric.

Yet even then, our connection endures,

for in this cosmic tapestry,

we remain eternally bound

by the resilient strands of hope and memory.
